• Daylily Dream Job:

  I love daylilies and this year have been helping longtime friend Stewart Oakes of Oakes Daylilies of Corryton, Tennessee. Now I am officially on board with this great family run company as a part time consultant. It's such an exciting opportunity to help them find and evaluate daylilies and to make connections with growers around the country. I even created a nice daylily of my own this season.
  
• Oil Sticks: Scrumptious Color

  In April I began work on a totally new and challenging project. I began making oil sticks. Oil Sticks are oil paint in a stick form. There are only several brands available now and no information on them at all, so the learning curve was very steep. I set up a little shop in a small building in our back yard and could be found out there day after day working on my formulations. It took several months to see any progress at all, but finally I began to get the hang of it. Now I feel like my sticks are so much fun to use. I am excited about them!!
